In September 2009, according to Baby’s rabies certificate she was in Tennessee. Somehow Baby (with her “brother” Tommy) made it to the MN Midwest Pug Rescue in November 2009. Her first foster family was unable to keep her. Baby came to my home January 18, 2010.
Baby was born November 13, 2000. She was not an overly active pug. She had some issues with her knees a

nd hips that slowed her down. She loved to be carried all over! She was a good little snuggle pug that enjoyed being

petted and being close to me. She couldn’t do stairs, so of course she got carried up and down the stairs. She enjoyed being outside, but she did not like it when I left her alone.
She had a very noisy, honking cough. She was treated with antibiotics, but this did not help. The vet found that Baby had a collapsing trachea. With some medication the coughing eased. During the last week of her life we discovered that she had congestive heart failure. Her little belly and chest were filled with fluid and her heart was enlarged. It became increasingly difficult for her to breath and she was uncomfortable. My little Baby passed away on April 23, 2010 at 9 PM in my arms. I’m thankful that she died when I was home and that I could hold her and let her know how much I loved her.
