About Us
Midwest Pug Rescue (MPR) has been in operation since 2001 and has placed more than 500 dogs in loving homes. We try our best to match the dogs with the needs, wants, personalities, and lifestyles of potential adopters to ensure a healthy, happy, and permanent home.
Minnesota Division of Midwest Pug Rescue (MPR-MN) fosters pugs in the Twin Cities and throughout greater Minnesota. We are a network of foster families and other volunteers. The larger MPR group also has dedicated pug rescuers throughout the Midwest. Our mission is to help pugs in need and to rescue as many pugs as possible in our region.
Often, the dogs arrive at rescue through no fault of their own. Many MPR dogs have been surrendered by their owners. Others have been given to us by rescue-friendly shelters or taken from puppy mills.
