Cooper
Cooper is a 9-year-old male pug. He demands so little, just a warm lap, an occasional kiss and a good scratch. He has adjusted to his foster home quite well. Cooper had his eyes looked at and his blindness seems to be congenital and is not causing him any pain. He moves a little slower than the others to minimize the impact should he manage to run into any furniture or a fellow pug. His hearing also seems compromised, but he can hear some sounds. Cooper prefers to go on his walks when there is less traffic and area noises. He loves basking in the sun during the day and sleeps in his bed next to the big bed at night. He is so grateful to be near you. Cooper would be a wonderful companion dog with the right forever family. |

Chumbley and Pugsley
Chumbley and Pugsley are 10-year-old fawn brothers. These two boys came from a home where the owner was unable to keep them any longer due to financial hardships. They are litter mates just turning ten this month. They are both very mellow, well behaved, house broken and quite cuddly vintage Pugs. We’ve taken to referring to them as the “bookend boys” due to their mannerism’s which are so much alike. They just came back from a visit to the vet who gave them a clean bill of health with no noticeable health issues. They do not seem to have any aggression issues towards other pugs, cats, or the neighbor dog’s who stand at the fence and laugh at our yard full of pugs. Everyone sleeps in the bed with us at night without any issues, and that is with very limited space per pet with 3 cats, 6 pugs and ourselves. These two are very low impact on our home and our daily routine, requiring only a guaranteed several meals a day, plenty of lap time and a chance to go out and tend to business on a regular basis. These two boys are sure to provide some family with plenty of heart warming comfort for a long time to come, provided that they receive the same in return. Photos to come ... |

Tie
Tie is 12 years old and
18 pounds. The vet thinks he ,ight be a bit under weight. He is very sweet. Tie is very active and spends all his time panting and wanting to mate with all the other dogs. He is not at all aggressive about anything. He has been marking the house when he is not wearing his belly band so his housetraining needs some work. |

Journey
Journey is an 11-month-old male pug. He is almost housebroken and is crate trained. He gets along with other pugs. Journey has some eye issues. The vet says Journey has glaucoma and entropion (a corrosive action caused by the eye lid hairs rubbing on the cornea). He is starting on three different medications that will each be administered twice a day at different times. Journey will probably require more medications as he gets older. Surgery is an option to slow the Entropion, but it would not solve the problem. Journey is happy-go-lucky and very sweet, cuddly and loving. He also seems very adaptable. |

Jack
Jack is a 8-year-old neutered fawn pug who was surrendered by his family because he has diabetes and the family couldn't afford his insulin that he needs to take 2 times a day. They also didn’t have the time to take care for a special needs dog. Jack is house-trained and crate-trained. He is a bigger pug weighing in at about 24 pounds. He also likes to sleep in bed with his owners, which he gets to sometimes at his foster home. Jack gets along well other dogs, and he is learning to share with the three pugs at his foster home. He gets along well with children and he likes to follow them around. Jack is a big fan of belly rubs, but doesn’t play much. He seems happy just to be in your lap sleeping away. He takes his shots well and is a very well behaved pug. |

George
George is 8 years old. He used to be a kennel-dog, which means he was used for breeding. He was also debarked. Before he came into rescue George hadn't had much human contact, but now he can't get enough of it! He will follow his humans around, and just soak up love and attention. He loves to snuggle, and sleep in his human's bed, and is a good, quiet sleeper. George has a sensitive stomach, so he needs to be fed mild food like Science Diet, but he is in great shape otherwise. He is housebroken, most of the time, and is very good about using a potty pad if he needs to go in between potty breaks. George is neutered and also just got a dental. His perfect forever home would be with someone who could provide lots of love and attention.

TaKoda
TaKoda is a pug mix believed to be a puggle. He was surrendered to us as a stray, skinny, and some medical issues after he was found keeping warm in a barn. He is between 2 and 4 years old and weighs
22 lbs. He is housebroken, good with other animals, kids and loves all and any attention humans give him. He has the loving side of a pug but not the active side of a pug or puggle. He is very mellow and likes quiet time. He sleeps almost 20 hours out of
24 a day. He recently had eye surgery to repair scar tissue from a wound. He has limited vision in one eye which doesn’t seem to bother him nor does it require any medication. He just received a clean bill of health from the vet. He loves going for car rides, spending a lot of time outside, going for walks, baths, playing with toys (not by himself but with a human), sleeping in bed with you under the covers, on your lap or at your feet during sleep time. He is very smart and curious as to what is going on outside. He would do good in a home with other animals however he chooses to be more reserved as he doesn’t play with other dogs. He MUST have a completely fenced in yard as he tends to chase squirrels and cars and needs to space to run. He does not like. nor needs to be crated during the day. If you are looking for a sweet, calm, and well mannered boy he would be perfect. |

Promise
Promise is between six to eight years old. She was surrendered to a humane shelter and was rescue by one of our members. (She may have come from a puppymill in
Wisconsin.) Her foster mom says she is just a wonder. Promise traveled well, came in and just made herself at home with the rest of her foster’s dogs. She loves being outside and is curious, smart and very sweet. |
